Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What group classes do you teach and when?
Most months I teach classes for four weeks on the same day each week at usually at 6pm and 7pm. Having said that, for the exact times and what classes are being taught check the calendar. If you have a suggestion for future classes let me know.
What ages do you teach?
Most of our students are adults of all ages. We are happy to instruct mature teenage children (young adults) as long as they are there to learn. And the Senior generation is of course welcome and probably has a thing or two to teach us!
How much are group classes?
Right now our classes are either $35 for the entire 4 weeks for a Single Person, or $65 for a partnership (couple).
Our Skills classes may be taken one night at a time for a flat $10 per person. Regular rates of $35/$65 may be paid on the first night if you decide to take all four Skills classes offered that hour for that month.
For our students who have taken many classes and wish to take their dancing to the next level we offer “Next Steps”. These classes will usually cost $45 and $75, respectively. These classes will be limited in size and go into far greater detail and technique than our other classes.
For purposes of payment a partnership is any two people paying for the same class at the same time where one leads and one follows.
What if I take more than one class? How much then?
The price is the same. However, we are now offering a free class after your sixth class or a free pair of shoes after your 8th class! Call or see us after classes for details.
How much are private lessons?
Currently this is the rate for Private Lessons for one couple. Private Lesson availability is extremely limited right now, but feel free to inquire. At present Dance Class is not teaching singles. A lesson is one 50 minute session.
1 lesson at a time - $75
4 lesson block - $280
Please inquire for groups of 3 or more, off-site lessons, or special requests.
What should I wear?
Casual and comfortable is just fine. We ask only that you dress in respectable attire. We do rotate partners after all. The only real Activityshoes are just fine, especially for your first lesson. Please do not wear flip flops or sandals that do not stay on well. They will make it extremely hard to step correctly and therefore learn to dance. Water on the floor can damage Dance Shoes, so if it is raining or snowing we ask you bring a change of shoes.
What about dance shoes?
Yep they are very pretty and they will DEFINITELY make your dancing easier, better, and more enjoyable. However they are absolutely not required. If you are interested though, we would be more than happy to help you find the right pair for you. Check out our Dance Shoes Page.
